Atlantic Beach is located on the eastern end of Bogue Banks. Although it is a town unto itself, locals often use the term to include the town of Pine Knoll Shores. Atlantic Beach is the Crystal Coast's oldest resort area and while it is more developed and crowded than Emerald Isle, it is still the site of dozens of weddings each year.
The beaches of Atlantic Beach, while usually crowded in the summer months, are wide and sandy and make spectacular wedding ceremony sites. The public beach along the Boardwalk at "The Circle" has public parking, as well as nearby reception sites, restaurants, and caterers. Several large resorts and other hotels are nearby, providing comfortable accommodations for your wedding guests. And, of course, hundreds of vacation rental homes are available for rent for your wedding ceremony or reception.
Public beach accesses are located at regular intervals along the Atlantic Beach oceanfront and Sound. Other unique Atlantiuc Beach wedding sites include the newly-renovated North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and Fort Macon State Park at the eastern tip of the island.
